KAMENSKAKONONOVA is a women’s wear and accessories brand founded by designers Natalia Kamenska and Olesya Kononova, based in Kiev, Ukraine. KAMENSKAKONONOVA introduced its first collection in 2008, in 2010 the brand launched its first shoe collection. In March 2013 the first capsule collection of children’s clothing named “ko.ka.ko by KAMENSKAKONONOVA” was presented.
Natalia Kamenska and Olesya Kononova design for contemporary urban woman with a big-city mind. Not because she indispensably lives in a big city but because she has that type of lifestyle when she travels a lot, has inner freedom and is keen on art, architecture, and history. However despite her active character and the rush of modern world this woman appreciates her inner harmony. She values the essence of things and her own essence primarily.
Emphasis on cut and sublime laconic silhouette;
Combination of minimalism and complex constructions;
Reconsideration of classic feminine silhouette;
Search for new shapes;
Purity, geometry, little accessory;
Liberty and lightness.
KAMENSKAKONONOVA brand was titled «Best Women’s Clothing Designer» and «Best Accessories Designer» in Ukraine – two prizes of BEST FASHION AWARDS 2012, the Ukrainian Awards in the field of fashion, and «Best Accessories Designer» in Ukraine by BEST FASHION AWARDS 2013.
KAMENSKAKONONOVA design could be retraced to the concord of nature, solitude, asceticism and attributes of modern world – high-tech architecture, the beats of big cities, new technologies. Designers are devoted to an urban colour scale – palettes of black, grey, dark and dusty blue, dusty rose and white.
KAMENSKAKONONOVA is defined by its emphasis on tailoring, craftsmanship and attention to detail. One tailor sews every piece individually from the beginning to the end; artisanal seams and finishes are quite common. Many clothes are unique or produced in limited series. All wear is manufactured in Ukraine.
KAMENSKAKONONOVA was featured on Vogue.it like “Our Choice: BEST PROJECT”. And in September 2013 KAMENSKAKONONOVA will be a part of issue “Vogue Talents” – Vogue Italy talents annual addition.

I began modeling at the young age of nine.
I always loved performing and being in the spotlight. Modeling keeps me very busy on a day to day basis, but I can’t complain because I have been blessed in the fact that I get paid to do something that I absolutely love and have a strong passion for.
As a model, I have been able to accomplish many things that I could have never even dreamt of.
I have been featured in numerous music videos for major artists, I have appeared in numerous magazines and magazine covers, and I have also made appearances on television.
That’s not all though. I recently filmed a reality pilot for a new tv show and I have started working with my management company in a recording studio where I am beginning to lay down the vocals for songs I have written. Modeling has given me the opportunity to gain a ton of exposure which has opened many doors for me and my career.
My style is very “free“. To be honest, I don’t really follow the “latest trends” and all of that. I just wear what I feel like wearing and I am very creative when it comes to style.
I would describe my personal style as a girlish tomboy. I like to mix printed button down tops with a real feminine necklace or accessory. All of my accessories are from Endless Couture which I co-own. We make a lot of big, bold, and bright designs which allow me to wear a plain outfit if I want and still stand out. I would say my greatest accomplishment was finding the courage to start a company and believing that it can be successful.
I’ve been styling since graduating from University, so two years now. I absolutely love what I do, but
its so competitive you have to be determined and patient! What I love to do is
style feminine, edgy shoots. Something different is always fun but my favourite shoots are the
more simple shoots where the clothing/accessories can do all the talking!
I style a lot of editorials and designers look books but my most
recent project is starting a new print magazine, Exalt.
I would have to say that developing signature style is my trademark. Rather than helping people focus on what is in, current and on trend I take that a step further and help individuals and companies break free from the idea of rules to create a look that is uniquely their own. I am inspired by people like YSL, Kate Moss, Tamara Mellon, and Blake Lively. These fashion icons do not follow trends, they create them.
I started my fashion career in boutique sales working for Jimmy Choo and then eventually Salvatore Ferragamo, however I felt like I wasn’t really pushing myself. I visited my brother and his girlfriend in September 2011 during New York Fashion Week and caught one glimpse of the tents at Lincoln Center and I was hooked. The second I got to an internet connection I got on the the MBFW Website and applied to volunteer.
Three seasons in I have had the fortune of moving up to a Venue Captain for shows in the main theater including Rebecca Minkoff, Monique Lhullier, and Marc by Marc Jacobs. Given that I am new to this industry I have really made an effort to branching out and trying my hand different areas of the industry including styling photo-shoots, collaborating with designers to conduct fittings, dressing models, and actual show production.
Currently I work independently as a Fashion Stylist, you can see my published work in Zephyr Magazine, Fashion Faces Magazine, and Eloise Magazine. To see my portfolio please visit my Facebook Page Chic and Disheveled. As I said before Kate Moss is a huge fashion icon personally, but I am not alone. The world adores her. One of the things that inspires me most is that she never looks perfect. There is always something slightly askew or…disheveled about her. Whether it be she is in a perfectly polished look with her hair a-mess, or she is decked out in grunge but her make-up is flawless. There is always an element that make it her, and that is what fashion is all about. Taking it and making it your own!

My personal style is a compilation of Afrocentric culture, Current trends, Vintage finds, and bright colors i like to describe my style as ——> Black Grandma technicolor rainbow. Fashion to me, is a way to express yourself, it’s MY form of art, and the form of art that speaks to the masses, there will always be clothing, someone will always need something to wear, so why not dress it up? I feel as if clothing is a universal language, it’s one of the only things that keeps the human race connected. I believe that everyone deserves the chance to express themselves, in any way they choose.
My accomplishments thus far—-> Have included but are not limited too, the starting of http://www.varaayanna.com, a fashion lifestyle website, And the start of my new magazine www. Thriftqueened.com, a world conscious fair trade fashion company geared towards making up-cycled, re-vamped, fair trade, and being yourself——> the new couture.
